This is a promo image for my new fic, Artemis Fowl and the Gemini Project ~ no link yet so why not check out my current fic: [link] ! I was inspired by mention of Opal's powers in The Time Paradox, so decided to exercise my imagination, and my colouring skills.
Once again, I'm going for a style that isn't quite anime, that leans a bit more towards Western.
Technical stuff: Pencil and biro took approximately an hour, and colouring was done using a mouse and Photoshop CS4 which took approximately 5 hours. Eeep. I used various tutorials for tips on shading, lighting and for special effects, like the energy ball. Pose is adapted from a combination of an image of Psylocke and an image from Ben Krefta's Art of Drawing Manga.
